Another Blackhawks Game, Another Blackhawks Win

Once again in the early NHL season, the Blackhawks have managed to win in convincing fashion.  The Hawks are now 2-0 and their success is due, in large part, to their ability to put the punk in the net.  In the opener Thursday night the team managed to score 10 goals and they complemented that with five more tonight.

Brandon Saad again proved the be an impressive offseason addition scoring tonight in first period.  That means, to open the season Saad had scored four goals over the first four periods of the season, talk about a hot start.  Star winger Patrick Kane also got in on the scoring this evening tallying his second goal of the season, one in each game.  Not to be left out, captain Jonathan Toews scored his first goal of the season on a play that was set up after a great check by Richard Panik.

One player who’s strong play has been overshadowed by the team’s offensive outpouring has been Corey Crawford.  It’s worth noting, the Hawks goalie has only allowed one goal in each of the team’s two wins.  The impressive team effort has resulted in the Hawks outscoring their opponents 15-2 to open the season.
